Next steps - a report will now be submitted to Cabinet to be discussed in November 2022 for them to consider the feedback back received. It will then be taken to full Council in December 2022 for their agreement following any amendments. Work on the strategy and the action plan will start straight away.

Our draft Economic Growth Strategy for 2022 to 2030 sets out how we, the Council, working with our partners, can improve economic conditions. In doing so this will help businesses to improve performance, create new opportunities for our residents, tackle poverty and improve health outcomes. This long-term strategy sets out the challenges we face, and the initiatives we are taking forward to address them. Many are long term initiatives which will require long term commitment if we are to achieve a sustainable change that will enhance our economy.

We would now like to hear from you about if we have got the priorities and actions right in this draft strategy. You can read the full draft strategy as well as take a look at the action plan and all the evidence that has been gathered.

You do not need to read all of the documents before taking part in the consultation but they are there if you feel it would help you as you answer the questions.
